I am a former teacher and began consulting with companies in the early 2000’s in instructional design and facilitating learning events. My experiences took me from the classrooms of high schools and colleges to creating learning architectures for Fortune 500 and 100 companies. While the learning was sound, it was frustrating to see how companies got in their own way to put into place the changes they intended. This set me on a path to be involved in organizational development to do my best to help organizations harness their resources, teach their leaders, help everyone understand the intersections between people and processes. It’s about creating healthy cultures that can be sustained and can thrive, even in the midst of change.

Throughout the years I have worked with many organizations – what I have found is people want to do the best job they can, fulfill the mission, meet expectations, and have work that is purposeful and meaningful. What I have also learned is that organizations don’t always know how to align everyone, create processes that help everyone succeed, and deal productively with inevitable differences of opinions. In addition, because we know what our intentions are, we don’t always pay attention to or recognize the impact we have as individuals, teams, leaders or organizations.
